The J.J. Heckenhauer edition
Heckenhauer was founded in 1823 in Tuebingen, Germany as an antiquarian bookseller and publishing company. Heckenhauer started concentrating on publishing interesting new photography books in 2000 with the superb quality edition of “DL07 Stereotypes of War: A Photographic Investigation“ by Jens Liebchen, which was nominated in Volume II by Gerrry Badger and Martin Parr; THE PHOTOBOOK – A HISTORY
A select number of two up to three limited-edition photography books will be published each year from now on with the emphasis on excellent quality and challenging content from exceptionally talented and interesting new photographers. Most of them are issued with a limited and numbered collector’s edition, which includes a vintage print. Some are yet part of museum collections, some books are out of print, like the book "DL07" by Jens Liebchen.
As well as the publication of fine photography books Heckenhauer is known for its large stock of out of print and rare books. A stock list of our rare photography books is available upon request. Please ask for our catalogue at email@example.com
Here you can find the list of the available publications and collectors editions.
A good way to meet us and peruse our books in person is at a book fair, like Liber Berlin or the Stuttgarter Antiquariatsmesse.
Each of the published books has an accompanying exhibition with framed original C-prints or hand-printed black and white prints. The quality of the work is, in our view, outstanding. Should you be interested in exhibiting the works please ask us about our exhibition terms and conditions.
Each of the prints are also, of course, for sale individually. Please ask us for more details at firstname.lastname@example.org
